Agentforce Vibes Just Went Paid: Here's What You Need to Know Today
If you're managing a Salesforce org for your small business, you need to pay attention today. Free agentic chat access in Agentforce Vibes ended this morning for most organizations. If your team has been using Agentforce Vibes without paying for it, you're now on borrowed time — and your access could stop working without notice.
The good news: there's a clear path forward. The bad news: you need to act today to avoid losing access and disrupting your team's workflow.
What Changed Today (June 1, 2026)
Starting today, free access to agentic chat in Agentforce Vibes is no longer available for non-Developer Edition orgs. If you're using Agentforce in a production or sandbox environment — anywhere other than a Developer Edition org — your team needs one of two things to keep using it:
- Flex Credits — Salesforce's consumption-based credit model (pricing coming soon from Salesforce)
- Unmetered Platform Developer and Admin AI User PSL — A permission set license that removes metered limits
Without one of these, agentic chat stops working after today.
Understanding the New Pricing Tiers
Agentforce Vibes now uses a two-tier model. Here's what you get:
| Tier | Model | Monthly Limit | Reset Window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro (Primary) | Claude Sonnet 4.5 | 110 requests or 1.5M tokens | 30 days from first request |
| Core (Fallback) | GPT-5 mini | 1,500 requests or 15M tokens | Same 30-day window |
| Autocomplete | GPT-4.1 | 1,500 requests or 15K tokens | 24 hours (daily) |
Important: All limits are org-level, not per-user. If your team has 5 people using Agentforce Vibes, their combined usage counts toward the same monthly pool. A team using Vibes regularly will burn through 110 Pro requests quickly.
What If You Have a Developer Edition Org?
Developer Edition orgs keep free access after today — but with a catch. The 110 requests / 1.5M tokens allowance is now a lifetime limit for the org, not a monthly refresh. Once you hit it, there's no Core fallback. The agentic chat stops working permanently.
For a solo developer doing occasional Vibes work, this might last a while. For anything ongoing, it will run out.
What You Should Do Today
Step 1: Check your org type. Is your production Salesforce org a Developer Edition or a standard org? If it's a Developer Edition, you have some time. If not, you're affected today.
Step 2: Talk to your Salesforce account team. Ask about Flex Credits pricing and when it becomes available. Salesforce's documentation currently lists pricing as "coming soon," so you may need to reach out directly for estimates.
Step 3: Evaluate your team's usage. How many people are using Agentforce Vibes, and how often? Light users might fit within the monthly limits. Heavy users will exceed them quickly and need a paid license.
Step 4: Make a decision. Are Flex Credits or the Unmetered PSL worth the cost for your use case? If your team is using Vibes for routine tasks that save real time, the ROI might justify the spend. If it's occasional experimentation, you might deprioritize it for now.
The Bottom Line
Agentforce Vibes is moving to a consumption-based model because the service is valuable — Salesforce wants to incentivize responsible use at scale. For most SMBs, this means making an informed choice: is the productivity gain worth the new cost?
But the decision has a deadline. If you don't act today, your team will wake up tomorrow without access and will have no warning.
